Vacume:
We love the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser upright vacume!! |
|
 |
Watering:
FRESH water in clean bowls. Automatic recirculation water
fountains are even recommended by vets, and
we are witness that cats drink more, more often
from them. CATS MUST DRINK ENOUGH WATER! There are several brands/types available for order
on the internet and at most all pet supply retailers
near you. |

High Quality
Foods And Info About Pet Food
|
|
It is best to continue foods the breeder
is feeding. Our
research recommends "Change
brands or flavors of dry food every three to four months to
avoid deficiencies or excesses of ingredients which may be
problematic for your animal" and to help avoid some food
allergies. |
|
|
|
|
|
We have plenty of high/premium
quality food brands to suggest if you can not locate the ones we
currently feed and, as you're ready to change a food every few
months.
We do not feed foods with the words "byproduct (s)"
or "corn" in the ingredient label, or foods that have what
we consider to be too many fruits, grains, vegetables,
hulls, seeds, cereals, fillers, glutens, that the feline system doesn't
use...CATS ARE CARNIVORES AND
THEIR SYSTEM "REQUIRES"
MEAT IN SOME FORM! |
|
|
|
We do not ever feed diet,
lite, senior, or hairball type foods as those have MORE
roughage/bulk/fillers, of no value to the feline system and harder on digestion, liver,
kidneys.
It's felt feeding raw diets with canned processed cat foods could be the very best for
cats. We suggest feeding no
more than 1/4 cup of dry kibble a day if you feel your cat just
will not let go of dry kibble, and to feed canned/raw diets 2
times a day, and/or supplement canned with raw. |

String, Threads,
Tinsel, etc, DANGEROUS:
The photo shows you why a cat can not back such things off their
tongue and out of their mouth. Their tongue is built like
a sticky brush with tiny bristles laying backward toward the
inside of their mouth, like teeth in a shark or snake. Keep
strings, threads and the likes picked up and out of a cat's
reach. The cat can't help but slurp these things until the
entire item is swallowed, and you could be facing a serious
expensive surgical procedure to remove it from the cat. If
you ever see such things hanging out of your cat's mouth, do not
try to pull it out as you could harm the cat. Take the cat
to your vet immediately for help. |

Flea Control For Home:
THIS WORKS!.
If
you can do this knowing children and pets will
not get into these. Take
the least expensive dog flea collars you can find, wear
rubber gloves don't touch these! Stretch them
out, cut into 2 or 3-inch pieces and put them all over
the inside of your home, between mattresses,
behind and under dressers, inside the bath cabinet
way in back, in closets up high and hidden or in
corners, under furniture or attached to it so it can
not be pulled loose, under kitchen sink in cabinet, etc. You get the idea. One piece
per item. Replace every three months.
This keeps out fleas, mites, spiders, and who knows what
else. You could also place the flea collar pieces
up in the attic and in the garage too, even hidden in
your vehicles.
"RIDDEX Plug-In's"
WORKS! Order
online.
Outside Of Home:
Many people spread "Diaotimacious Earth" and yes it
works! You have to replace if it gets wet
though. You can also spray or sprinkle for bugs on the lower and upper edges/perimeter
of the outside of your home with the onset of Fall and
again Spring. Before spraying, close up all
windows and doors, leave closed for a day at least.
If you
have animals outside, and/or your neighbors have
animals in their homes and yards, we've read pests
from those yards will come into your yard and
eventually your home perimeter, garage, inside your
home. To help keep the neighbor's pests from
invading your areas, spread pest control along your
fence lines and edges of property lines. There are
bags of lawn pest control that control a huge number
of different kinds of pests (including fleas, ticks,
mites), easy to use, and you use little, and these
are to be watered immediately after you apply
them to get it into the ground.

Bathing Kittens and Smaller Size Cats: Three, 5-gallon buckets (or larger depending on the size of the cat), each filled with
warm bathing
water. In Bucket #1 squirt shampoo into it and mix
(does not take much shampoo at all).
Cats do not like anything squirted on them.
Buckets #2 and #3 fill with warm rinse water.
Water and a blow dryer that's too warm a temperature can
cause the cat to blow it's coat (like an instant
all-at-once shedding of entire coat). Lower kitty into the shampoo water, backend first and allow
him/her to grasp the edge of the bucket with her
claws as they hang inside. Cats need to have
some control over what is happening to them and this
gives them a bit of security too. Place one
hand or wrist on the back of kitty's neck just to
hold them in place, little pressure is necessary. When we saw this entire demonstration, the kitty actually relaxed.
Because the water has the shampoo in it, you need
only to rub the water into the fur gently and
quickly. Use a small sponge or soft cloth on
the head, face and ears. This bath should be
done quickly. It does not take much to get
them clean (usually). Hold kitty up out of the water so that you can gently ring out some
of the water from them. Place kitty into
bucket #2 and rinse, repeat rinse again in bucket
#3. Towel dry them by gently squeezing water
out of their fur. If you use conditioner, now
is the time to apply very little and then rinse very
well. Some may not mind being held under
the faucet for a faster more powerful rinse as long
as there is no hissing spraying noise coming from
the faucet.
Now is a good time to give kitty a little rest and
stretch time if your home/room is a temperature that
won't cause them to get too chilled.
Then, Blow dry if necessary and to add fluff to the fur. Blow
dry temp is best and safest at luke warm to cool and
in a room with the door closed to keep the chill
off. THAT'S IT!
We watched a kitten and a 4 month old golden
retriever be bathed (in a double sink) in less than 5
minutes with no mess!! You don't need to
take much time with an indoor only kitty. We had to pass this on!
Cats & Kittens are very fearful of the sound of water spraying/fast
water pressure noise from a faucet and this bath method is a
dream technique that works easily, very well, more
relaxing for kitty and you both!!
